A Postmodern Teresa Of Avila
Lessons For Spiritual Transcendence Today
An entirely new way of looking at this 16th century saint through the eyes of our world today. It asks the question : What does she have to teach us today? An awful lot it would seem.
In this course we explore the challenges she faced as a nun and as a woman growing up at a time where woman faced significant limitations in their life choices, just as we do today. Teresa fell into all the awkward stages of youth and puberty and fell into many of the dark spaces that still challenge young folk today. Through her journey with Christ, she grew into a formidable and capable woman, who loved God with her whole heart, who was able to make a remarkable contribution to the world. Her Interior Castle, model of spiritual growth, is a brilliant exposition of how we walk from the darkness of the world into the light of God. I know of no other spiritual guide that has helped me more in her practical insight, her brilliance and her step by step approach to finding God.In writing this course, the author has made every attempt to allow Teresa to change our lives today.
This course includes three lengthy, in-depth modules about Theresa Of Avila.
